A variety of public programs, including artist talks, art history lectures, and panel discussions, are organized in conjunction with exhibitions. The ICA also sponsors programs with the local art community and participates in community events.
Walk-In Tours

Meet at the front doors
Walk-In Tours are great ways to get acquainted with the ICA and the current exhibition. Your guide will offer a brief overview of the ICA's mission and history and then escort you through the galleries, introducing the exhibition and selected individual works. Questions and interactive discussion are encouraged. Walk in Tours require no reservations and last about an hour.

ART 21 Preview Screenings
The ICA at MECA will preview three episodes from the acclaimed PBS series "Art in the Twenty-First Century" season four which will air on PBS in late October. Through in-depth profiles and interviews, the four-part series
will reveal the inspiration, vision and techniques behind the creative works of some of today's most accomplished contemporary artists. These screenings are free and open to the public. Thursday night screening will
be followed by a facilitated discussion.

World AIDS Day/Day With(out) Art

Each year the ICA participates in World AIDS Day in a variety of ways, including providing participatory projects such as The Mail Art Project, often in conjunction with other community groups.
Internships
The ICA is committed to providing college students with hands-on museum experiences ranging from curatorial assistance to teaching in an educational program or working with artists to develop projects. Students can choose a general, educational or curatorial internship.
Art on the Move
This program offers thematic exhibition tours for K-12 schools and college groups. Call to schedule a tour for your group.

Young Arts-Saturday Program
This program combines collaborative hands-on art-making experiences with ICA tours. Our goal is to encourage children's engagement with contemporary art in a unique, creative and fun studio art workshop.
Adventures in Art-School Program
A contemporary art education program for elementary school children, that includes classroom visits, ICA exhibition tours and art-making, student exhibitions, and on-going curriculum connections.
