2003 SKOWHEGAN FACULTY EXHIBITION June 21 - September 28 Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture's annual faculty exhibition opened Saturday, June 21, featuring a survey of work by members of Skowhegan's 2002 and 2003 faculty. Exhibiting artists include: Camille Billops, Xu Bing, Nayland Blake, Patty Chang, Rackstraw Downes, Joanne Greenbaum, Geoffrey Hendricks, James Hyde, Whitfield Lovell, Jean Lowe, Inigo Manglano-Ovalle, Melissa Meyer, Kay Walking Stick, Nari Ward, Betty Woodman, Lisa Yuskavage. The exhibition was presented in the galleries of the Institute of Contemporary Art at MECA. A public reception was held at the ICA on Thursday, July 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The exhibition ran through Sunday, September 28. 1) Whitfield Lovell, America, 2000, charcoal on wood, flags, 89 x 52.5 x 20 inches 2) Betty Woodman, Portuguese tile vases and their audience (V.A.), 2001, glazed earthenware, epoxy, resin, lacquer and paint vases, 26 x 26 inches - audience 9 x 14 x 2 inches 3) Patty Chang, In Love, 2001, Video Still 4) Melissa Meyer, Memphis Blues Again, 2001, Oil on Canvas, 60 x 80 inches
