- The urban world is strange, beautiful, disturbing and disconnecting, it's in a state of autumn. As the season unfolds,
there is a silence and unease about the future like the transition of fall to winter in the landscape. I see this process of change within the modern world much like autumn's last flicker of beauty. There is a bloom within this transition of decay, the leaves turn into vibrant colors and the sun light weakens to a anemic state, more dramatic and prophetic of things to come. As this seasonal change and entropy take place amongst the environments I photograph, I try to find places that are functioning in these stages of existence, to places of
transition, and finally the spaces that are left on the verge of becoming dust again. I am exploring my thoughts and ideas of this uncertain edge we are existing in and what this landscape may look like in the future after we have vanished. These moments illustrate my
vision of utopia gone awry. Could the landscape we are existing in be ultimately left behind as the Petroleum Age?
