An all-school Alumni Reunion took place at the home of Jay York on September 7, 2007, following the opening reception of Anthromorph, the alumni exhibition at the ICA at MECA (on show from August 29 to October 6, 2007).
The 2006 MECA Alumni Weekend took place on October 6 and 7. The Alumni Visiting Artist was Eric Hongisto '97 and the theme was "Scopophilia: the Love of Looking."
Eric gave a public slide lecture about his work entitled "Scopophilia: The Love of Looking." In addition to Eric’s talk, there was a panel discussion with faculty members, an alumni career panel discussion, a tour of local alumni studios, a New England alumni exhibition, lunch with President James Baker, a spirited memorial gathering for former Director of Portland School of Art Bill Collins, and an alumni party to celebrate the weekend.
