Adjunct Faculty of Art History

The Academic Studies Program at Maine College of Art & Design seeks to develop a pool of part-time faculty to teach Art History classes within our BFA Program.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

Contingent upon student enrollment and funding availability, appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis. Positions are annually renewable, contingent upon curriculum need, funding, and faculty performance. Appointments are normally made on a semester-by-semester basis, though sometimes a yearlong appointment may be made. Positions are renewable annually, contingent upon funding and performance. This is an in-person position.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Art History or a related Humanities discipline or a related field and a record of teaching excellence are preferred. MFA and/or MA will be considered with appropriate, higher education, art history teaching experience.
