We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Camp Summer Coordinator to join our Continuing & Professional Studies team and help create a safe, engaging, and enriching experience for young artists. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, energetic professional passionate about arts education and youth programming.

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Continuing & Professional Studies, the Art Camp Summer Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the College’s Summer Art Camp. This role involves coordinating activities, supervising Teaching Assistants and faculty, supporting students and families, and ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and well-organized camp experience. This is a temporary, full-time position running from June 1 – July 31, 2025 (8 weeks), with a schedule of Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the Summer Art Camp program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians, addressing inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Facilitate check-ins, late arrivals, and early pickups.
  • Supervise student lunch periods and provide support for students needing quiet time.
  • Manage and support Teaching Assistants and faculty in classroom and field trip activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Visit and support multiple camp locations throughout the day.
  • Capture photos and videos for camp documentation and promotional use.
  • Provide administrative support, including processing registrations and responding to inquiries.
  • Foster an inclusive, engaging, and welcoming environment for students, families, and staff.
  • Serve as a program ambassador, upholding the College’s mission and values.
What We’re Looking For
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience working with youth programs, particularly in an arts education setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A friendly, positive, and welcoming demeanor with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for arts education and a passion for fostering a creative learning space.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires navigating the college campus between multiple buildings to support program needs, including, but not limited to, in-person support and coordinating program activities. Compensation: $20.00 per hour
