Position Overview

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator plays a key role in defining the College’s brand and supporting the Marketing & Communications team’s strategic priorities by managing project coordination and content creation. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this position supports the College’s marketing and communications objectives by crafting engaging and inclusive content, coordinating cross-departmental marketing initiatives, and ensuring the successful and timely execution of marketing deliverables. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Lead project kick-off meetings, manage timelines, and guide project progress through completion.
  • Serve as administrator for key tools including Notion (project management) and Dropbox (photo library).
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure deliverables meet standards and deadlines.
  • Maintain inventory of marketing materials, promotional items, and office supplies.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency across marketing operations.

Content Creation

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and distribute strategic content aligned with institutional goals.
  • Maintain the department’s editorial calendar and website content.
  • Analyze campaign performance and recommend data-informed improvements.
  • Track digital trends to recommend new tools and approaches.
  • Provide proofreading and editorial support to ensure alignment with MECA&D's style guide.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or project management.

Skills & Abilities

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker with problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and proactive in gathering input and approvals from stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with web-based marketing tools and emerging digital platforms.
  • Comfortable working in a diverse, inclusive, and creative community.

What We Offer

This is a full-time, exempt-level position. The starting salary is $48,000 annually and is commensurate with experience.
