Maine College of Art & Design’s Summer Art Camp offers kids ages 11-17 a chance to explore their passions in our studios and work with talented instructors. We offer week-long courses in painting, jewelry & metalsmithing, animation, digital illustration, silkscreen and many more.

Summer Camp Schedules
Week One | June 15-18 (no class on 6/19)
YMC 050-S26-1 | Silkscreen: T-Shirts and Beyond, Ages 11-13 | $315
Learn how to print your own designs onto t-shirts and other items through basic screenprinting techniques, including screen preparation and inking. Please bring a few T-shirts you would like to print on to class.
YMC 016-S26-1 | Mixed Media Drawing, Ages 11-13 | $315
Sharpen your eye and spark your creativity by exploring a wide range of drawing and painting techniques. Develop your style through hands-on practice and experimentation.
YMC 080-S26-1 | Pen & Ink Illustration, Ages 11-13 | $315
Discover the bold, expressive possibilities of pen and ink as you learn to create striking images with line, texture, and contrast. Explore techniques that transform simple marks into eye-catching work.
YTC 054-S26-1 | Drawing, Ages 14-17 | $315
Develop and strengthen your drawing skills by learning to draw what you see. Explore composition, line, and perspective through a variety of formats.
YTC 027-S26-1 | Jewelry + Metals, Ages 14-17 | $355
Learn basic soldering, forging, forming, stamping, polishing, and bezel setting skills to create a variety of jewelry pieces in this fun five-day intensive. An added materials fee covers the cost of silver for this course. (Additional silver is available for purchase if needed.)

What to Pack
Students should bring a packed lunch, some snacks, and a water bottle from home. The temperature of the classrooms can vary, so make sure to pack a sweatshirt as well.
