The Nature Conservancy Fellowship
About
The Nature Conservancy in Maine cares for ecological preserves all around the state, from Mount Saco Heath in southern Maine to Downeast’s Great Wass Island to the Upper St. John River Forest in the North Maine Woods. They are also involved in river and stream restoration projects, offshore and inshore marine issues, a breadth of scientific studies, and critical climate mitigation and adaptation work.
About the Fellowship
The Nature Conservancy Summer Illustration Fellow provides illustration for the design of TNC Maine’s Campaign Donor Report. The report is an 8-page, 8 ½ x 11 magazine-like booklet for donors. The cover features a full-color illustrated map of Maine with illustrated landmarks (i.e., Penobscot River, Mount Katahdin, the Paul Bunyan statue near Bangor) and 5 pop-out illustrations of stories featured in the report. The inside of the report includes the five ¼ page colored illustrations showing the conservation projects in more detail. The back of the report is an illustrated postcard of a scene in Maine.
