Timeline
We will be lined up in Monument Square by 12pm, and the parade will wind its way down to Deering Oaks park by 2:30pm. There will be a Pride Festival happening in Deering Oaks until 6pm that day.
Please arrive at the Porteous Lobby of the College by 11:15am on Saturday, June 15th. We will be taking a group photo and generally going over procedure before making our way down to our parade spot.
Dresscode
- If you screenprinted a shirt this past April with the limited edition logo, please wear that
- If you were unable to attend that event, please wear your brightest MECA&D/MECA/Portland School of Art shirt.
- Self expression is an important part of being an artist & of being queer (or an ally!) so the rest of your outfit should be comfortable to walk in and as loud/proud/bright as you want it to be.
- Our official "colors" for the event are CMYK
Good things to bring
- A refillable water bottle
- Sunscreen and/or bug spray
- A fan/sunglasses
- Rain gear, depending on the forecast
- Pride flags, regalia, etc
- Friends/Partners/Family members! All are welcome to walk with us as a part of our extended community!! If your loved ones don't own Maine College of Art & Design merch, please let them know that the dress code is as bright as possible or something cyan/magenta/yellow
