MUD SEASON uses ceramic as an inherently transformational medium to explore themes of growth, change, and possibility. Clay connects us to the earth as a living thing from which it springs. Just as clay breathes and shifts throughout the process of making, the artists in this exhibition investigate symbols of transition within life. These works provoke consideration of the profound transfigurations experienceed by the material, reflecting the perpetual state of change of all natural systems and beings.
