Cape Elizabeth High School senior Hannah Lowenstein secured a grant for $5,000 from the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation and worked with Assistant Professor in Woodworking & Furniture Design John Gardiner '07, MFA '14 to create a 7' by 5' wooden brain sculpture made out of dozens of individual tiles. The tiles were then painted by high school students, teachers, parents, siblings, and staff as they reflected on art as therapy for mental health.
