Announcing The 2026 Collect Art Sale

The annual art sale benefits student scholarships and participating artists.

Maine College of Art & Design (MECA&D) announced the dates for its 2026 Collect Art Sale, an annual fundraising event that presents the work of emerging artists alongside that of established artists. The sale supports both the participating artists and the College's Student Scholarship Fund, which has raised over $1 million to date.

For students who participate, this is often their first time showing work in a professional setting. This year’s sale includes a range of artworks priced from $50 to $12,000, making it accessible and giving collectors the opportunity to purchase works by students, alumni, and faculty of the College. Notable past participants include Kathy Bradford, Linden Frederick, Reggie Burrows Hodges, Jocelyn Lee, Daniel Minter, Hon. DFA ’19, Jenny Scheu, and William Wegman.

“Our Collect Art Sale is a unique opportunity to engage with artists at every stage of their careers,” shared Director of Artists at Work Jenny McGee. “Whether you’re a longtime collector or just beginning, every work purchased helps fund scholarships and sustain our students’ creative futures.”

This year's Collect Art Sale will feature work from over 150 artists and approximately 450 pieces spanning styles and media, including ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, painting, and more. Participating artists include emerging MECA&D graduates, such as:

  • Milo Glassman ’26
  • Deanna Jacome MFA ’23
  • Grace Maybury McIntosh ’25
  • Olivia Van Oot ’24
  • Steph Wills MFA ’25
  • Francesca Woolson ’26

  • Don Best ’81
  • John P. Gardiner ’07, MFA ’14
  • Alisha Gould MFA ’10
  • Meg Hahn ’17

The work is available to preview online at shop.meca.edu on Wednesday, June 3, and in person at the ICA with Contributing Artist Connie Hayes ’80, Hon. DFA ’03, on Wednesday, June 3, from 2:00-3:00pm.
