Rebecca Sugar Hon. DFA ’24, a renowned animator, director, singer, and songwriter and, our 2024 Commencement Speaker, wrote and performed an original song for MECA&D's 113th graduation ceremony. The song, "Love The Way It Feels," has been released on Sugar's new album, "Lonely Magic."
Sugar was invited to be our Commencement speaker via a video sent to them from our Animation & Game Art students. Sugar spoke about the invitation, saying, “I was so touched by the video message from the students at Maine College of Art & Design, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to support the class of 2024.”
