The Salt Institute for Documentary Studies and Maine Public Radio recently launched Season Two of Essential Salt. The podcast talks about Maine, its stories, its people, and how stories can build community.
Brenna Farrell, a Maine Public staff member and producer of Essential Salt, shared in the Portland Press Herald, "Each story in 'Essential Salt' focuses on a place or a person that not only helps us better understand the many realities of Maine, but also, I believe, encourages us to question our understanding of who Mainers are, and how we relate to each other in this place we call home."
Since its launch, Essential Salt has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered, News Center Maine, the Portland Press Herald, and West End News.
