Michel Droge MFA '10 recently celebrated the opening of their solo exhibition, Michel Droge: Dreams from the Bardo, at UMaine Augusta’s Charles Danforth Gallery. The exhibition, which is on view from September 8 through October 23, 2026, features artwork that Droge developed in 2023 while an artist in residence on a deep sea research vessel.
“Droge works from deep sea footage of the extraordinary brooding of octopuses in combination with dreamed and discovered imagery, yielding an interpretation of a stirring natural instance of life, death, birth, and continuity in the profound depths of the ocean,” note the exhibition details at UMA’s Danforth Gallery.
