Maine College of Art & Design is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Crawford as Associate Vice President of Enrollment. Serving on the President’s Cabinet and senior executive team, Crawford will help develop and drive strategic enrollment initiatives that advance the College’s future priorities as it embarks on the upcoming Strategic Planning process.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Andy Crawford to the Maine College of Art & Design. His expertise in aligning recruitment strategies with evolving market trends makes him a wonderful fit for the College,” said President Laura Freid. “Andy will keep a keen eye on emerging markets and opportunities to expand our reach to non-traditional learners and help ensure the long-term sustainability of our community."
Crawford joins the College after two years as the Associate Dean of Admissions at Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee in Boston, MA, where he led strategy, planning, and execution for recruitment, admissions, and audition functions for undergraduate and graduate programs.
Previously, Crawford served as Director of Enrollment Operations at Bentley University and as Assistant Director for Marketing and Recruitment at the University of New England. He brings more than fifteen years of professional experience spanning operations, marketing, and sales, with twelve years focused on enrollment management. In 2024, Crawford was awarded the President's Service Award by the New England Association for Graduate Enrollment Management.
As Associate Vice President of Enrollment, Crawford will lead the admissions team and develop and execute strategies to meet institutional goals for new student enrollment, retention, and net tuition revenue. He will also draw on his breadth of experience to ensure the enrollment strategy aligns with the College’s academic priorities, institutional mission, and long-term financial sustainability.
Crawford, a musician and former Yarmouth High School basketball coach who grew up in Yarmouth, will join Maine College of Art & Design on July 6, 2026.
