Students enrolled in the Public Engagement minor and Printmaking major from Maine College of Art & Design collaborated with the Maine Correctional Facility and Maine Prisoner Advocacy Coalition to create “Creating in Confinement,” an exhibition at the Francis Hotel in Portland, Maine. The artworks were created by incarcerated artists, some produced in collaboration with MECA&D students.
A closing reception will be held on Friday, November 1 during the First Friday art walk.
