Andy Pepper is a multidisciplinary artist working in sculpture, photography, and audio. Pepper's work seeks primarily to bear witness to a natural world in flux, especially through describing the kinship between the queer body and wild places. His practice is shaped by his education in journalism, and as a horticulturist, as well as his upbringing in the rural American South. Pepper received a Master of Fine Arts from San Francisco Art Institute in 2019. His work has been shown at his alma mater, locally in New England, and online, where he produces the social practice project Artists Looking At Animals, an audio journal documenting artists' thoughts on the natural world in this moment.
