Hope Rovelto earned a BFA in Sculpture from Maine College of Art and an MFA in Ceramics from Rochester Institute of Technology. After 11 years in Philadelphia—teaching at The University of the Arts, Tyler School of Art, and Philadelphia University, and working with community arts organizations like The Clay Studio—she returned to Portland, Maine, in 2017, where she reopened Little Chair Printing (LCP). A queer-owned screenprinting shop, LCP provides free print services for community groups and causes like Maine Gun Safety, Maine Inside Out, Black Lives Matter, and Equality Maine.
With grant support, Hope travels to protests and community events, offering live T-shirt and poster printing. She continues her artistic practice through residencies and leads workshops at institutions like Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, pride celebrations, and schools. Outside of artmaking, she is training to become a professional bowler.
