Pedro Daher

Pedro Daher was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. He completed his PhD at University of California, Irvine, in Comparative Literature. With a central focus in Brazil and in Latin American theory, Daher’s scholarship engages with continental philosophy and its history and connections to capitalism, colonialism, and domination.

In the classroom, Pedro translates his research into unique intellectual experiences for students with a pedagogical approach that is grounded in the necessity for active learning, deep listening, and interdisciplinary inquiry.
