Dr. Rose Logie

Rose Logie holds a PhD in art history from the University of Toronto, where she also completed a BA in art history and literary studies. Most recently, she was a Term-Appointed Assistant Professor at the University of Winnipeg, where she taught in the Cultural and Curatorial Studies MA program and the Departments of History and English. She has been a Visiting Professor in the Department of Theory and History of Art and Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, as well as an instructor at the University of Lethbridge, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the University of Toronto. While residing in Toronto, she held curatorial and research positions at the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art, the Art Gallery of Ontario’s Print and Drawing Study Centre, and the Textile Museum of Canada.

Logie has been a Robert R. Wark Fellow at The Huntington Library in San Marino, CA, a Fall-Term Fellow at the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, France, as well as a Getty Research Institute Summer Seminar participant. She is working on a book-length manuscript on materiality and subjectivity in the art of the long eighteenth century.
