Tuition Payment

Your bill is due by the payment due date listed on your billing statement and must be satisfied by payment, financial aid, payment plan, or loan. If you are eligible for financial aid, preliminary financial aid may be listed on your preliminary bill. Questions about financial aid should be directed to FinAid@meca.edu. ACH and 529 payments can now be made online through your MyMECA account. Maine College of Art & Design does not accept credit cards for tuition payments.

Payment Online

ACH/Electronic Payment

Payments from US savings or checking accounts can be completed online with no fee via ACH from a secure site. This requires the bank routing number, the savings or checking account number, student name, and Student ID number. Follow the steps below to make and ACH payment:

  1. Go to MyMECA
  2. Log in with your student email address and password
  3. Click on Finances
  4. Click on My Account Balances
  5. Click on “Go to Transact”
  6. Click Make a Payment
529 ACH Payment

Electronic payments offer streamline payment processing to simplify the tuition payment process for 529 savers. Many 529 savings plans can be used to make payments on your account, however not all 529 vendors and/or plans are currently supported. Your 529 vendor may assess a service fee. This payment option requires the name and account number of your 529 Plan.

Payment by Mail

A check from a US bank account made payable to Maine College of Art & Design. Please indicate the student's name and student ID number on the memo section of the check.

Monthly Payment Plan with Transact

The College offers a monthly ACH payment plan through Transact. Regularly scheduled payments are processed on the 15th of each month, with a small non-refundable enrollment fee for plans. If someone is paying on behalf of the student, the student must set up their payment plan account first and then add an authorized payer. Sign up for a payment plan in MyMECA.

Payment by Scholarship

All scholarship checks should be sent directly to the Student Accounts Office payable to Maine College of Art & Design including the students ID number and student name.

Please indicate if a personal check represents scholarship funds paid personally to the student.
